DOCUMENTARY: Mo Charaid, Mo Ghaisgeach
Mo Charaid, Mo Ghaisgeach (2009) is a film about two elderly ladies from the Hebridean island of Colonsay. Despite their physical disabilities, Flora - the oldest islander - and Jessie continue to remain independent and get out and about. As two of the last native Gaelic speakers on the island, they take us on a journey which reflects a snippet of island life. This journey also reveals their lust for life, a glimpse of the island's past and a superstition for thriving. They are heros to the islanders, they are heros to each other.
Mo Charaid, Mo Ghaisgeach won the FilmG award for 'Best Documentary' in 2010.
Director/Producer/Editor: Rachel Hendry
Director of Photography: Gordon Napier
DOCUMENTARY TRAILER: Mànran: Latha Math
Mànran: Latha Math' is a promotional film about Gaelic Folk/Rock band Mànran's bid to get their debut single, 'Latha Math', into the top 40 of the UK Charts. If they succeed, they will be the first band to get a Gaelic song into the UK top 40 in the 21st century.
As the hottest new act on the Scottish folk music scene, whatever the outcome, Mànran aim to raise the profile of Gaelic song and have lots of fun in the process.

PROMOTIONAL FILM: Tiree Music Festival
Tiree Music Festival commissioned me to make a promotional highlights video of the festival in 2012. Headline acts included Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Skerryvore and Toploader (Dancing in the Moonlight).
It was my second year filming at the music festival (with help from a team) and it was a super-fun experience for all of us, even though it was wet and windy for most of the weekend!
